We have arrived in munich after about
14hours traveling. Super smooth flights! We
had a layover in Amsterdam. We decided to
go in and look around the town. We ended up
seeing some lovely countryside too because
we got on the wrong train;) but the people
were very helpful. Micah and I walked around
the city and saw all the neat bikes (even ones
that look like they have baby baskets they are
pushing) and canals. We had lunch at a nice
on a quiet canal by Ann franks house.
Munich is such a wonderful city! The people
are so kind, food is so good and it is clean!
I had my fav beer ever the Radler (lemon soda
mixed with light beer). Micah had a dunkle of course!
We walked our buts off yesterday. We even came upon
a fun festival with this guy singing and dancing (it looked
like something out of borat hopefully pix to come).
Our hotel is simple but very nice and close the train station
so we don't have to take to long to get andwhere. Today we
are going to the Residenz and then to the englischer garten
to relax. Tonight we take the night train to Lake Bled in Slovenia.
We used the iPod to book next booking! I was afraid the wifi
would not work because I could not get it to go in the
airports. But it works in the hotel yeah!!
I will be sad to leave Munich I love this town but I am excited
for Slovenia!

By the way my Dad saved the day again! He took
ReplyDeleteus to the airport in the pouring rain! Thank God it
stopped and made it out on time!
Glad you guys are having fun!
ReplyDeleteLove you Sade! I can't tell you how much fun it is to read your entries. Mostly because you write like you talk and I can actually hear the enthusiasm in what you're writing! Give Micah a hug and drink a stein for me! Lake Bled is supposed to be beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSarah, sorry I missed you before you left! I didn't know. If you have any Qs. about your site choices w/in your time frames, I stayed in the capital of Slovenia & various small towns in the Julian Alps-!!.. Then I was on to more wonderful stays in Zagreb, Prosec (amazing gilded early Christian basilica there! Must see!) and the Dalmatian coast, incl. Split, Korcula, and Dubrovnik. You would LOVE Korcula...it's such an exquisitely magical, authentic island in the Adriatic. (better than touristy Hvar, I think) Paris Hilton was in Hvar when I was there!! ENJOY & send me a note!:) --Ellen (Emily's friend)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you made it safe and sound!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you're having a great time! I'm envious that you got to be so close to Anne Frank's house! I've read her diary so many times and own several copies.
Can't wait to see your pictures and hear more about your travels!
Be safe!!!
